Navarro College Hiring Part-Time RV Technician Instructor
Navarro College, the first community college to become an RV Technical Institute (RVTI) Authorized Learning Partner, is hiring for a part-time RV technician instructor to teach its “Intro to RV Tech” course.
This individual would be responsible for instructing the RV Technical Institute’s Level 1 curriculum during Fall 2025.
Background
The RV Technical Institute offers a nationally recognized certification for RV technicians, with a curriculum built in tandem with the manufacturers of RVs and their component parts, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
Earlier this year, Navarro College launched the RV Technical Institute’s Level 1 curriculum to students interested in becoming RV technicians. Topics will include propane, electrical, plumbing, appliances, body, generator, and chassis systems.
A student who successfully completes this two-week course will have a proven skill set to prepare an RV for customer delivery by verifying the operation of all components.
Note that Level 1 training and testing will occur during the first week, while the second week will cover OSHA 10 certification, computer skills, basic computer skills, read and write repair orders, and more. The RV technician instructor’s primary responsibility will be the content taught during the course’s first week; additional instructors on staff at Navarro College would conduct the course’s content during the second week.
