InterMotive Vehicle Controls, a manufacturer of electronic control systems, has developed eVolution, a secure engine stop/start product designed to automatically charge the batteries while the RV is parked and the electrical systems are in use.
eVolution, designed for Class B and C RVs, manages the charging of OEM and auxiliary batteries using customizable conditions to stop and start the engine. A high idle function minimizes the charging time and internal safeguards prevent overcharging and ensure safe operation.
It also includes a key-out mode which provides security by allowing the key to be removed from the ignition. The system can be activated using the OEM key fob from outside the vehicle.
“eVolution is designed to allow customers to enjoy their RV amenities worry-free without constantly having to check if the batteries are getting low,” said Greg Schafer, president of InterMotive.
The system is easily installed with plug-and-play connections to the OEM chassis. eVolution is currently available for the RAM ProMaster and Ford Transit.
