Campground operators across New Jersey are ready to welcome domestic and international travelers visiting this June and July for FIFA World Cup 26 matches being held in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and Philadelphia, including the final match on July 19.
Joann DelVescio, executive director of the New Jersey Campground Owners Association (NJCOA), said scores of RV parks and campgrounds have camping sites, cabin/cottage rentals and other on-site rental options for those needing a place to stay between matches.
“Our campground operators have been looking forward to this event since it was announced,” said DelVescio. “We’re excited that New Jersey will be welcoming so many people from around the world for this amazing event and we want them to know they have quality camping and on-site rental options ready to be reserved at our parks.”
DelVescio advised travelers to visit NJCOA’s website at gocampingnj.com to start their planning. Tabs help users to “Find a Campground” by name, place or amenities, and browse “Camping Deals & News.”
A few suggested campgrounds relatively close to World Cup match locations, with approximate distances:

Domestic and international travelers have options for renting RVs in New Jersey, NJCOA said. However, Peter Gigantino, COO of 84 RV Rentals in Sussex, New Jersey, encouraged World Cup attendees to reserve their RV soon.
“Even with one of the newest and largest motorhome fleets in the Northeast, inventory remains limited and customers are encouraged to reserve as soon as possible,” said Gigantino. “With motorhomes ranging from 24-foot to spacious 32-foot models that comfortably sleep up to eight, guests from across the country and around the world are invited to book online at 84rv.com or call 973-875-4961 to receive exceptional customer service while planning their World Cup travel experience.”
FIFA World Cup 26 matches are scheduled from June 13 to July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. From now through July 19, MetLife Stadium will be known as the New York New Jersey Stadium in celebration of the event. Additionally, matches will be held at Lincoln Financial Field in nearby Philadelphia, from June 14 to July 4.
