Newmar debuts the newest addition to its engineering lineup this week in the STAR Foundation, an all-new steel superstructure, designed to improve the strength and durability of 2016 Newmar diesel and luxury coach chassis.

Newmar claims the new foundation greatly reduces squeaks and rattles, allowing drivers to experience a quieter Class A ride, according to a news release.

The STAR is built to provide more reliable slide-out performance, and the company hopes that the foundation provides a starting place for future innovation in the Newmar Class A lineup.

Long term, the STAR Foundation delivers the underlying chassis with enhanced stiffness, making it more durable and less prone to stress and distortion, the company said in a news release.

Slide-out adjustments will be minimal, as there is less of a possibility that slide tubes will flex or move out of alignment. In short, Newmar slide-out systems will be more dependable than ever before, flooring will remain level and sidewalls will stay square.
