Organizers of the 64th Annual California RV Show in Pomona are preparing for the opening of the nine-day show tomorrow, where vendors, including 47 manufacturers, and 34 California dealers, will cover more than a million square feet at the Fairgrounds in Pomona, Calif.

Despite 100-plus degree weather early on, last year’s event managed an attendance boost of 5 percent over 2014. With more favorable temperature forecast, organizers expect to top that number this year.

“This is the only RV show wholly owned and operated by RV manufacturers and, as such, features the latest and most innovative RVs available,” said RV Industry Association California RV Show Director Tom Gaither. “Consumers will see the largest selection of 2017 models, more Class B’s than ever before, the nation’s biggest display of toy haulers, and RVs of every size and shape.”

The event features 26 dealers from throughout the state showcasing 1,325 RVs, in addition to numerous RV parts, accessory vendors, among the lineup. Entertainment includes sport celebrities, fair food and free Ferris wheel rides.

This year, organizers have slotted a wide range of music to spice up the atmosphere of the event.

On tap this year is live music from El Mariachi Zacatecas and country music performers Honey County, Peter Brandon and D.L. Marble.

Based in Santa Ana, Calif., El Mariachi Zacatecas offers exciting and professional musical entertainment for all sorts of public events and private parties, featuring a stirring Mariachi-style interpretation of traditional to popular music.

This year, there’s a drawing for a Lance 1475 Ultra Light Travel Trailer valued at $27,413, plus a $1,000 gift certificate for parts and service at Richardson’s RV Center.
