Northern Wholesale Supply said Thursday that it had been purchased by Wynnchurch Capital. While the ownership is new, the current management team will continue to lead NWS going forward.
“This new ownership structure gives a unique opportunity to take NWS to the next level,” the company said in a statement announcing the sale. “We believe our partnership with Wynnchurch will help accelerate our growth, strengthen our infrastructure and improve our service. Our partnership with Wynnchurch Capital is an ideal fit because of our shared commitment to teamwork and building lifelong relationships with customers, employees, and suppliers.”
Wynnchurch currently manages more than $4.2 billion of committed investment capital and has invested in over 45 companies with combined sales in excess of $5 billion. “Wynnchurch has extensive experience partnering with companies to achieve operational excellence,” the equity firm said, “(and) we look forward to working with them as we accelerate our growth plan.”
