Northstar Truck Campers regrets to announce the passing of Robert Charles Willett, father of Rex C. Willett.
Robert Willett, 85, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday Jan. 18 at Cedar Valley Hospice in Iowa. He was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Oelwein, the son of Ralph and Francis Willett. He married Ethel Davis on Jan. 16, 1954, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua.
Robert Graduated from Oelwein High School and worked with his father in Waterloo, Iowa, manufacturing Texson Truck Campers (later changing the brand name to Northstar).
After passing the business down to his family, he spent part of his time living in Arizona and coming back to Iowa in the summer months.
He enjoyed camping and motorcycling, spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his sister, six children, eleven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother, wife, and grandson Bryce.
A celebration of life will be held at a later announced date.
