NRVTA Introduces the Summer of Certification
Recognizing that many people are planning their summer schedules, the National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) announced a new promotion this week to encourage them to spend the summer in Athens jumpstarting a new career or business.
The Summer of Certification is a program in which people can complete all the training they need by taking consecutive classes to become certified RV technicians or inspectors. It involves taking the introductory RV Fundamentals class followed by two weeks of advanced courses to become an RV inspector, or four weeks of advanced training to become a technician.
To make it more affordable to complete all the training at once, NRVTA is offering students a $100 weekly discount on reservations to stay on campus at The Texan RV Park.
Students must start their first class by Aug. 1 to take advantage of the Summer of Certification program.
“Many people are contemplating new directions for their careers, and they see being an RV technician or inspector as a viable and lucrative business to enter,” said Terry “Cooper” Cooper, president of NRVTA. “Summer is often a good time to take more time off from work or other activities, so we want to make it more affordable for people to wrap up all their training during one visit to Texas.
“Then, when fall arrives, they’ll be ready to get new jobs or start businesses to help people looking to buy an RV or get one repaired before the camping season comes to a close in northern states,” he added. “Having the training also provides a hedge against any inflationary pressures that may be coming by allowing people to develop a second income by providing services that are in high demand.”
