NRVTA YouTube Channel Passes 43K Subscribers
The National RV Training Academy’s (NRVTA) said it has posted nearly 300 videos to its YouTube channel, and the number of subscriptions to the channel has surpassed the 43,000 mark, the school reported today.
In addition, after launching its RV Unplugged channel three weeks ago to promote the upcoming reality show airing in March, the school said that more than 4,300 people have subscribed to those videos as well. There are only three videos so far on the RV Unplugged channel, but more will be released as the launch date approaches for the 10-show series, said Tony Flammia, NRVTA’s director of sales and marketing.
“We have been blown away by the reception our videos are receiving by RVers and people thinking about buying an RV,” he added. “We will post a video and have anywhere from 3,000 to 100,000 views within two weeks. That encourages us to produce even more videos because RVers are clearly hungry for more tech-oriented content.”
NRVTA’s most popular videos remain the short Todd’s Tech Tip Tuesday series, which was recently increased from an average of five minutes per episode to 10 minutes. In those videos, Director of Education Todd Henson offers a quick demonstration to help RVers either learn how to use their RVs or to better maintain them. For example, the video titled “What is Propane Lockout in Your RV,” has garnered nearly 90,000 views since its release Nov. 8.
RVTA has launched several video series in the past year, which include:
- Todd’s Tech Tip Tuesday, where Henson offers quick maintenance tips in a humorous, but educational 10-minute format.
- Your Gadget Fix, where Flammia demonstrates how to use a specific piece of equipment to improve the RVing experience.
- The Beard & Bun Show, where Flammia, who sports a man bun, joins Henson, who has a sizeable beard, to interview guests to talk about topics of interest to RVers.
- What to Expect When Inspecting, a self-help series to show consumers what to look for and where to look when evaluating an RV they’re considering buying.
The staff has also produced several dozen short-form videos, commonly referred to as “shorts,” which are no more than 60-seconds in length and used to deliver a quick message that can be shared on social media platforms.
“We’re planning more video content for 2023 that will center on relatively easy, do-it-yourself, step-by-step processes consumers can follow to complete routine maintenance on their RVs as well as component equipment,” said Flammia.
