nuCamp Announces Barefoot Model Update
nuCamp RV, a major manufacturer of campers and teardrop trailers, has announced that the Barefoot, a retro-styled camper modeled after the UK Barefoot, is coming to the U.S., though it is taking longer than expected.
nuCamp will be producing the Americanized version of the camper. The company said the first nuCamp fiberglass shell arrived in December after delays due to COVID. The company said it has identified additional adjustments it wants to make to the shell before it assembles the first prototype. The second shell with the modifications is already in production at the fiberglass manufacturer, which will further delay the release of the Barefoot.
The Barefoot will be a seamless one-piece solid fiberglass shell, unlike other fiberglass campers traditionally manufactured in multiple pieces.
“The production and future launch of the product is taking us longer than we would have liked,” said Scott Hubble, nuCamp CEO. “We will not settle until it’s done right and meets our standards. After all, we want to continue to exceed expectations, even if that means delaying the launch..”
