“OHI is built on the strength of its members, and our Board is a reflection of that,” said Paul Bambei, OHI president and CEO. “We’re fortunate to have such dedicated professionals joining our existing group of leaders on the board of directors. The skills and passion on the OHI board is instrumental in advancing our mission and supporting the entire outdoor hospitality community.”

The OHI board of directors is made up of 20 members elected at-large by OHI voting members. Board members play a critical role in shaping the future of the organization and the outdoor hospitality industry as a whole. Their responsibilities include defining the organization’s mission and purpose, supporting and evaluating the president/CEO, and ensuring that both strategic planning and resources are aligned with OHI’s goals. In addition, the board oversees organizational performance and accountability, works to promote OHI’s image while strengthening its programs and services, and actively recruits, orients and evaluates new board members to keep leadership strong and forward-looking.

The board also upholds its legal and fiduciary duties, ensuring decisions are made with care, loyalty, and adherence to OHI’s governing documents and values.

The newly elected board members will be sworn in at the 2025 Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo (OHCE) on Wednesday, Nov. 12, during the annual OHI membership meeting. Click here to register for this year’s OHCE.
