The OHI Foundation announced that that applications are now open for the George O’Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality Scholarship, supporting the growth and education of outdoor hospitality professionals. Applications will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 29.
Made possible through the generosity of OHI Foundation donors and supporters, each scholarship provides full registration plus $500 towards room and board at the 2026 National School of Outdoor Hospitality, held Feb. 22–27, 2026, at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia.

The National School is one of the premier in-person professional development programs for campground and outdoor hospitality leaders. Participants attend in two stages, gaining practical and strategic skills that directly strengthen their businesses:
Year 1 – Outdoor Hospitality Manager (OHM)
- Marketing your guest experience
- SOPs that improve consistency and service
- Hiring, employee training and leadership
- Risk management and ADA awareness
Year 2 – Outdoor Hospitality Professional (OHP)
- Advanced marketing analysis
- Employment law and strategic staffing
- Budgeting for growth and understanding Return on Equity
- Long-term infrastructure, conservation and ethics
