OneControl Standard on Grand Design’s Momentum
Lippert Components has announced that Grand Design’s 2019 Momentum units will come standard with OneControl ConnectAnywhere cellular technology. The 2019 Momentum OneControl units will be on display at the 2018 Elkhart RV Open House, Sept. 24-27.
OneControl ConnectAnywhere gives the RV owner an even more powerful option for wireless control of their coach’s features.
“ConnectAnywhere offers the user remote access to many of their RV’s functions from their mobile device, virtually anywhere that they have a cellular signal. This is an improvement over the standard OneControl system that we introduced several years ago that only allows the user to control and monitor many RV functions within a 100-foot range of their coach,” said Andy Murray, LCI’s chief sales officer. “With ConnectAnywhere, owners have the ability to control and monitor various functions including holding tanks, HVAC systems, generators, water heaters, and lighting from virtually anywhere in the world they have a cellular signal, as long as the RV’s OneControl system is powered up.”
“ConnectAnywhere gives our customers more freedom than ever before, especially in scenarios when they’re away from their coach,” said Nate Goldenberg, general manager for Grand Design RV. “This can be as simple as using the cellular technology to cool their coach down on a hot day if they had left their pet inside. It’s these kind of things our customers are asking for, so we’re proud to deliver them.”
ConnectAnywhere was engineered and designed to allow multiple devices to be connected to the Internet. ConnectAnywhere can alert owners to various issues when they happen, automatically create a service case with customer service, then connect them with an LCI customer service representative. OneControl ConnectAnywhere users can also use voice control powered by Amazon’s Alexa.
“We’re extremely proud of our engineering teams for building the immensely complex system architecture to make this diagnostic technology a reality for OneControl owners,” said Murray.
OneControl, like most other mobile applications, will be continually upgraded with new features, enhanced usability, and improved diagnostics tools in the coming months.
