ORR To Host Briefing on US Trade Policy in Outdoor Recreation

On Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 12 p.m. ET, Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) will host a briefing on U.S. trade policy and its impact on the $1.1 trillion outdoor recreation economy. The briefing will address the increasing uncertainties surrounding the U.S. trade landscape and the significant burdens these pose on the outdoor recreation industry — a sector vital to the American economy and quality of life.

“With outdoor recreation participation reaching record levels, it is more critical than ever to ensure a stable trade environment that supports outdoor recreation’s five million American jobs and that all Americans can benefit from time spent outside. This briefing will explore the most impactful trade policy opportunities for the industry, including the retroactive extension of the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP),” ORR said.

Jessica Wahl Turner, president of the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable, will offer an introduction for the briefing’s speakers alongside moderator Charles Cooper, founder and managing partner of the Brumidi Group.
