Pomona Show Attracts Young Crowd

In many respects, the California RV Show looks younger today than it did 66 years ago when it began.  Some would say it’s the newest streamlined designs, or the innovations and technology like solar power that modern RVs on display at the show are using. Or that RVing is still a fun and cost-effective way for the entire family to enjoy the great outdoors.

Certainly the camping lifestyle has no age limit. From young couples and growing families to mature campers and folks who have traded their brick and mortar home for one with four wheels, people want to explore the country with freedom and to park in clean and safe campgrounds.  Sixty-six years later, RVing is still the best way to do that.

This year, the 66th annual California RV Show at the Fairplex Pomona showcases a wide range of RVs, ranging from mini towable trailers to popup trailers, to 35-plus-feet-long travel trailers and fifth wheels that are sure to excite those looking for something to tow with their SUV or truck.

For people who enjoy motorhomes, there are hundreds to choose from – Class B, Class C and the luxury Class A options. If attendees are not sure which motorhome fits their style, they can choose to take a test drive in one or more of 100 new motorhomes that will be at the show.

“This is the only show on the West Coast sponsored by RV manufacturers that has more than 1,300 new 2019 models,” said Tom Gaither, California RVIA Show director. “And it’s the only time consumers can meet the manufacturers, get advice on the different RVs on display, and make a great deal with one of the 17 dealerships we will have there.”

The show covers over 1 million square feet of displays and includes a large exhibitor tent featuring countless accessories and aftermarket products to personalize RVs, plus 40 informative seminars on a variety of RV-related subjects

The show runs from Oct. 5 through 14 at the Fairplex in Pomona, Gate 9. Show hours are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily.
