Pomona Show Features Detailed
The 2018 California RV Show at Fairplex Pomona, Calif., beginning Oct. 5, will boast more than 1,200 new (2019) RVs from more than 17 dealers, including 100 new RVs that will be ready for test drives.
The show covers more than 1 million square feet of displays and includes a large exhibitor tent featuring countless accessories and aftermarket products to personalize RVs, plus 40 informative seminars on a variety of RV-related subjects.
The RV Industry Association, the show’s producer, said 505,900 units are expected to be shipped to RV dealers by yearend, capping nine straight years of growth and resulting in the highest annual total for the RV market. This figure is driven by strong second quarter shipment numbers of 134,502, the third-highest quarterly shipment total in more than 40 years.
Here are a couple of show standouts:
- The Veracruz Motorhome by Renegade RV is making its first appearance at the show. This Class C is powered by a 330 HP diesel engine.
- The OLIVER RV Travel Trailer, nickname the “Ollie,” looks like an Airstream, but is made of fiberglass, not metal.
“RVers from all over the West Coast mark this show on their calendar every year,” said Tom Gaither, California RVIA show director. “There’s no better place to catch the RVing Lifestyle bug than this show. It’s the only place all year to check out the products on display from 17 dealers and to shop around to get the best deal on an RV.”
Racecar driver Josef Nicolai Newgarden, who currently competes as a driver in the Verizon IndyCar Series, will be at the show. Dodgers fans can meet Steve Garvey, and marvel at the archery skills of Frank Addington Jr.
