Progress Mfg. Adopts MAPP, Protection Policies
To protect the Equal-i-zer and Fastway brands and the service that goes along with them, Progress Mfg. has announced a new brand protection program that includes an Minimum Advertised Price Policy (MAPP) and authorized reseller policies.
Progress Mfg.’s authorized reseller policies will become effective on Oct. 15, and MAPP will go into effect Dec. 3.
“We would not be where we are today without support from our dealers,” said Jed Anderson, CEO. “We are grateful for the relationships we have and for the opportunity to work together toward each other’s success. … Together, we are able to provide an unparalleled level of customer satisfaction by offering the highest quality towing products, outstanding technical assistance, and superior customer service.”
Some of the key points of the new policies include:
- After Oct. 15, products of Progress Mfg. will only be sold to authorized dealers/resellers. Only those granted written approval will be permitted to sell Progress Mfg. products on marketplace websites like Amazon and eBay.
- When the MAPP goes into effect Dec. 3, anyone who advertises products covered by the MAPP will be subject to the unilaterally applied MAPP.
“We are grateful for the support from our dealers/distributors and for the input that has been given,” said Anderson. “As with other brands who have implemented such policies, we fully anticipate the Progress Mfg. Brand Protection Program to be a win-win for all who sell and use the products of Progress Mfg.”
