Forty-seven manufacturers will showcase the best of their 2016 lineups, joined by 152 supplier exhibitors at the Hershey RV Show in Hershey, Pa., which opens with its Industry Days today and tomorrow (Sept. 14-15), before the retail portion of the event Sept. 16-20.
Although attendance numbers at the Giant Center are yet to be determined, registration totals suggest that the show will be the largest in the event’s history, according to Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association’s Heather Leach.
“We’re off to a good start,” Leach said of the Industry Days. “We have two full days of education seminars and training that have already sold out. So that’s really exciting.”
Exhibitors this year will cover more than a million square feet of display space, eclipsing last year’s record-total, which fell just short of the seven-figure mark.
Consumer attendance at last year’s event reached 46,000, topping the high-water mark set in 2013, and Leach said she is hoping that the trend of steadily increasing attendance holds true for this year’s retail event.
“We’d love to break that record this year,” Leach said. “The weather looks perfect for this week, which always helps us out. I’m aiming to beat last year’s record – hopefully by more than one person. 50,000 would be great, but we’ll see.”
