REDARC Launches New Battery Management System
Australian manufacturer REDARC Electronics has launched the Manager30 battery management system in the North American marketplace.
REDARC have been selling this battery management system in Australia since 2014. It is designed to charge and maintain auxiliary batteries by incorporating AC, DC and solar inputs. It is ideal for RVs, caravans and camper trailers with multiple battery banks, according to the company.
“The Manager30 sets the benchmark for off-grid travelling, providing peace of mind when using the comforts of home while travelling around North America,” said Anthony Kittel, managing director.
Users will be able to keep their auxiliary batteries charged from 110-volt AC main shore power, their vehicle battery, and solar panels. The system is rated at 30 amps.
“One of the key features of The Manager30 is its ability to power share, meaning it can charge an auxiliary battery from multiple power sources simultaneously,” said Kittel. “And, with ‘green power priority,’ if solar is available it will charge using the maximum available solar power, before topping up from another power source.”
The Manager30 features:
- An MPPT solar regulator
- A battery isolator
- A load disconnect controller
- And includes a remote battery monitor
“The Manager30 remote battery monitor display is designed to provide useful information rather than simply displaying battery voltage and current,” said Kittel. “Based on your power usage, The Manager30 uses these figures to calculate how much power you have remaining in hours and days.”
The Manager30 is available for purchase through the REDARC website and will be available through REDARC’s key distribution channels in March. It will also be on display at RVX.
