Four weeks after mandatory enforcement of new RV Industry Association (RVIA) standards for electrical components began, Renogy brought its power lineup, including charge controllers certified to UL 1741, to the Elkhart RV Open House.
RVIA enforcement of the new standards began Sept. 1, applied through inspections of member-company RV manufacturing plants. For OEMs building solar-equipped units, that turned component certification from a future planning item into a current requirement. For dealers, it changed what arrives on the lot. Getting ready for the shift has been an industry-wide effort, and the work is ongoing. OEMs, suppliers and dealers are still sorting through what the change means for upcoming builds, from sourcing decisions to how solar packages are presented on the lot. Open House week, which begins Monday, Sept. 28, puts many of those conversations in the same place.
Renogy’s product focus for the show is built around that need. Renogy’s REGO MPPT charge controllers, in 30A and 60A, publish certification to UL 1741 alongside CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 107.1 and IEC 62109, on the product pages where an OEM engineer would look for them. Section 2-7 of the new DC standard is what makes that listing the thing an OEM asks for. The monocrystalline panel range, including the ShadowFlux anti-shading series, completes the lineup. Together they give OEMs and dealers a single supplier for the core of a solar charging system, which simplifies sourcing and cuts the back-and-forth of matching parts from multiple vendors.
Rather than presenting those products as individual components on a shelf, Renogy will show them together as a system on its rolling display. For an OEM specifying a new floorplan, or a dealer explaining a solar package to a customer, seeing the pieces laid out as one system answers practical questions a spec sheet cannot. As certification becomes a baseline expectation across the category, that system-level view helps move the conversation from checking boxes on individual parts to planning complete power packages.
Renogy will be in Booth C3 at the Hall of Fame RV Supplier Show, Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 28-30, at the Northern Indiana Event Center on Executive Parkway. Floor hours are 12 to 5 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. Attendees are invited to stop by the booth for an energy drink.
