Rep. Eric Robertson Earns RVIA National Legislative Award
Washington state Rep. Eric Robertson received the RV Industry Association (RVIA)’s National Legislative Award during the National Conference of State Legislatures’ annual Legislative Summit in Indianapolis. The award recognizes an individual who has distinguished themself in legislative matters pertaining to the RV industry.
Robertson is the Washington State house minority caucus vice chair and ranking minority member of the Labor & Workplace Standards Committee, which oversees the Department of Labor & Industries.
Labor & Industries is critical in the operation of the RV industry in Washington state, as RV units must have an attached Washington state insignia for legal sale by an RV dealer in Washington state. Robertson was the primary sponsor of the 2023 RV Industry Association supported bill which reformed the state’s plan approval process, making it easier for the association’s manufacturer members to do business in the state.
In addition, Robertson is an avid RVer. When he’s not in Olympia, he often camps around Washington in his RV.
“Rep. Robertson has been a terrific supporter of the RV industry. In particular, he was a tremendous advocate for reforming Washington state’s approval process,” says Craig Kirby, president and CEO of the RV Industry Association. “He has shown great dedication and commitment to the RV industry and its initiatives. Congratulations to Rep. Robertson on being a recipient of the 2023 National Legislative Award!”
“We would like to thank Rep. Robertson and his team for all of the ways they have supported the RV industry and the wider outdoor recreation industry,” adds Jason Rano, vice president of the RV Industry Association’s Government Affairs team. “Their efforts to champion the RV industry have been instrumental and we appreciate all of the leadership his team has provided so that our industry can continue to grow and succeed.
