REV Group COO Moves to CEO Role at Aerospace Company

Ian Walsh, the chief operating officer for REV Group, has resigned that position and will become the new president and CEO of aerospace company Kaman Corp. starting in early September.

Walsh replaces Kaman’s previous president and CEO, Neal Keating, who is retiring, although he will remain on as executive chairman for a period of time.

Walsh joined REV Group in June of 2018. Prior to that, he served as president and CEO of Textron’s TRU Simulation and Training division.

Walsh’s career with Textron began in 1999 at Bell Helicopter and progressed through leadership roles of increasing responsibility, including Senior Vice President and General Manager of Lycoming Engines and Senior Vice President and General Manager of Textron’s Weapon & Sensor Systems business.

Walsh is a former officer and naval aviator in the Marine Corp. and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He achieved the prestigious International Shingo Silver Medallion for Operational Excellence for his work at Lycoming Engines.
