REV Group Marks Grand Opening of Sports Complex
On Saturday, May 8, the REV Group Sports Complex at Hanna Nuttman Park in Decatur, Ind., celebrated its official grand opening. In 2019, REV Group provided a $200,000 lead donation to help fund the extensive renovation the park desperately needed, the company said. More than a year later, REV Group employees marked the occasion during a ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Decatur Mayor Dan Rickord.
“Our company works to encourage and equip people to embrace an ‘outdoor lifestyle.’ We are honored to provide the lead gift to support this outstanding destination that promotes activity and engagement with the outdoors,” said Bill Reith, vice president and general manager for REV Recreation Group. “Being outside and together with friends and family creates memories for life – and that’s what we aim to do with our recreational vehicles as well.”
The complex features six baseball/softball fields, two batting cages, full-court basketball court, two pickleball courts, a half-mile paved walking path, two concrete corn hole sets, two concession stands, two restrooms, an open-air pavilion, and a large playground. The updated REV Group Sports Complex is also home to the Decatur Baseball League and Decatur Girls Softball League.
“REV Group is proud to be part of Decatur and is excited to help fund this significant project that benefits the entire community by providing new and upgraded outdoor recreation amenities that anyone can use,” said Lenny Razo, national sales director for REV Recreation Group. “Decatur is our hometown, and we are committed to supporting the community.”
“The city of Decatur, and the surrounding community, are very grateful to REV Group for their support for many years. The REV Group Sports Complex is a tremendous asset to the community. The valuable contribution from REV and many other businesses and individuals made this all possible,” said Mayor Rickord.
