River Bend RV Resort To Host ‘Heroes Weekend’

The following is a report from the Watertown Daily Times.

River Bend RV Resort in Watertown, Wisconsin, will host a “Heroes Weekend” Saturday, May 18, to honor local first responders.

The event will consist of a 2.2-mile run/walk at 9 a.m., a parade at 10:30 a.m., a lights-and-sirens show at 11:15 a.m., a kids run at noon and a tug-of-war competition at 1:30.

The heroes schedule to participate in the parade include several from the area:

Watertown VFW-Color Guard, Civil Air Patrol, Summit Police Department, Watertown Police Department, Dodge County Sheriff’s Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, South Milwaukee Police Department, Lake Mills Police Department-K-9 Unit, Fall River Police Department, University of Wisconsin Police Department-Mounted Patrol Unit, Watertown Fire Department and Fort Atkinson Fire Department. The Whitewater and Milwaukee police departments are also potential participants.
