A Grand Rapids, Mich., RV dealership is undergoing a $2.5-million expansion.

The more than 21,000-square-foot expansion at American RV Cutlerville, at 201 76th St. SW, is expected to create up to 15 jobs.

This story by Pat Evans originally appeared in Grand Rapids Business Journal.

Construction started last month and will finish in February 2018.

The expansion is spearheaded by Byron Center-based Dykhouse Construction.

The cost of the project was not disclosed.

Included in the project will be 14,000 square feet of showroom space, office space and waiting rooms, along with 8,413 square feet for six new service bays.

“This expansion is about providing the best possible service for our customers,” said Chad Neff, general manager, American RV. “As our industry has evolved and changed over the past few years, so have we. We want to keep up with the demands of our growing business, while still providing the high level of service our customers expect.”

American RV sells a variety of RVs, fifth wheels and travel trailers.

The new showroom will feature kiosks allowing customers to view inventory and compare various models.
