RV Industry Supplier Will Expand in Elkhart
The Elkhart, Ind., City Council has approved a deal granting Global Link Distribution Corp. a tax break on a planned $4 million expansion that would create eight jobs.
Global Link distributes fasteners, hardware and locks, mainly to the RV industry. It plans to build a new facility off Patricia Court, north of Middlebury Street in eastern Elkhart, consolidating operations at three other locations, according to the Elkhart Truth. The new building would cost an estimated $3.5 million with $500,000 more to be spent on machinery and other equipment.
Per the abatement, the company would save $222,573 in real and personal property taxes.
The company, founded in 2007, now employs 28, and the eight new jobs would pay an average of $30,900 per year.
