Warranty administrator training is the latest addition to the Mike Molino RV Learning Center’s selection of online courses designed to help dealers and fixed operations professionals meet the needs of a new generation of customers.

The Warranty Administrator Online Course offers training that covers processing RV repair orders, handling warranty claims, managing payments, maintaining customer and manufacturer/supplier relations, and checking in new units. To register for the course, click here.

Multiple sections in the 11-module course focus on processing and closing repair orders and emphasizing customer service — a critical skill for top-performing fixed operations personnel. A module-by-module content breakdown is here. The course offers an interactive and user-friendly experience, complete with audio voice-overs and progress checks, and typically takes about five hours to complete.

All course materials are structured around the RV warranty job and task analysis developed by The Ohio State University’s Center on Education and Training for Employment, in conjunction with RV industry subject matter experts organized by the RV Learning Center. Fully interactive and easy to navigate, the courses offer audio voice over and numerous progress checks. Students who enroll by Nov. 30 will have until Dec. 31 to complete the course.

Completion of the course sets experienced fixed operations personnel up to prepare for the RV Learning Center’s warranty administrator certification. To obtain certification, candidates must have at least one year of experience as a warranty administrator or closely related experience. They must submit a certification application form with a $199 fee, then take and pass a timed, online exam. For more information and an application, click here.

“Warranty administration can be one of the most challenging jobs in any dealership,” said RVDA President Phil Ingrassia. “This training from the RV Learning Center not only prepares the students or certification, but it also helps them be ready to help customers understand warranty repairs and keep them satisfied with the service they receive.”
