RV Retailer expanded its New England footprint in the second quarter with a new store in Connecticut and opened a new store in Charleston, South Carolina.

The company also acquired two dealerships, in California and Oklahoma, the latter of which has two locations. It also purchased land to expand the size of an Arizona store.

The Newton, Connecticut, store is located in a hotbed for RVing, with more than 13,000 RV registrations within a 150-mile radius of the store, according to CEO and President Jon Ferrando. Opening as RV One Superstores Connecticut, the location has more than 31,000 square feet of indoor space, including 14 service bays and two wash bays, and will be overseen by Don Strollo, the company’s East Region president.

RV Retailer also opened its 11th store in the Carolinas – a 24,000-square-foot facility with 18 service bays and an indoor showroom in Charleston, South Carolina, on Interstate 26.

During the quarter, the company also acquired Manteca Trailer and Motorhomes in Manteca, California.

“This is an incredible milestone for our team to reach 100 RV locations in under four years, continuing our momentum as the fastest growing RV company in the industry,” Ferrando said at the time of the purchase. “All of our associates are very proud of this accomplishment. What’s most important is we will be able to take care of our customers, wherever their travels may take them, with our 100 great full-service RV dealerships.”

RV Retailer also acquired Floyd’s RV with two Oklahoma locations, in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. It’s the company’s first entry into the Sooner State.

The company also acquired property in Surprise, Arizona, to expand the Tom’s Camperland location in that market.

RV Retailer operates six RV dealerships in Arizona under the Tom’s Camperland and Affinity RV retail brands.
