Shipments of RVs remained steady in June, bringing the monthly totals above the same period last year.

Shipment totals climbed one percent from May, outpacing the same period last year by 2.3 percent. In May, shipments dropped below the same period the year before for the first time in at least two years.

Compared to the same period last year, the biggest gains came in truck campers and Class C motorhomes, which climbed about 28 percent each.

Yearly totals remain 5.5 percent ahead of 2014. Class A and truck camper sales are the only categories below 2014 year-to-date totals, representing drops of 1.5 and 7.6 percent, respectively.

Sales of fifth wheels dropped 1.1 percent and Class A sales dropped 8.3 percent.
