RV Surge Launches Online ‘Surge Now, Pay Later’ Beta
RV Surge announced it will launch the first beta cohort of its online Surge Now, Pay Later program on Oct. 28, providing qualified mobile RV technicians and RV inspectors with business guidance, connected technology, community and accountability. Applications and additional information are available at SurgeNowPayLater.com.
Closing the Gap After Technical Training
The program addresses a gap RV Surge has observed within the RV service industry, the company said in a recent release. Technical education and certification prepare professionals to perform the work, but new graduates can still face an overwhelming number of steps before they are prepared to operate a business.
Those steps may include business formation, registrations, licensing considerations, insurance, banking, bookkeeping, services, pricing, customer policies, scheduling, communication, marketing and follow-up.
“Becoming properly trained and certified is a major accomplishment, but it is not the final step,” said Micah Schmidt, founder of RV Surge. “Someone can know how to inspect or repair an RV and still feel overwhelmed by everything required to establish the business. Surge Now, Pay Later helps participants create what’s missing, improve what’s already in place and identify what they need to do next.”

The application-based program is intended for mobile RV technicians and RV inspectors preparing to launch within approximately 90 days, along with those who have recently started but are not yet consistently profitable.
A Four-Week Online Private Launch Lab
The four live online sessions will be held Oct. 28 and Nov. 4, 11 and 18. All sessions begin at 6 p.m. MST and are expected to last approximately 75 minutes.
Each week will focus on one of four primary areas:
- Business foundations and launch priorities
- Systems and customer experience
- Visibility, marketing and customer follow-up
- Launch readiness and the participant’s next 30-, 60- and 90-day priorities
Guest contributors will provide additional perspectives connected to these core areas, RV Surge said. Participants will also receive the Mobile RV Business Launch Guide, a personal 30-Day Launch Tracker, session recordings and access to continued education and community support.
Experience From Both Sides of an RV Service Business
The program is led by Micah Schmidt and Kathleen Daniels, owner and operations manager of True North RV Service. Schmidt brings experience in business systems, marketing, automation and artificial intelligence. He and his wife, Paige, have also spent much of the past six years living, traveling and working full-time from their RV, giving him firsthand insight into the RV owner and customer experience. Daniels operates True North alongside her husband, Andrae Daniels, an RVTAA-certified technician.
Since 2021, Kathleen and Andrae Daniels have operated their mobile RV repair business from locations in South Dakota and Arizona. Kathleen manages both the customer-facing and behind-the-scenes systems needed to keep the company operating.
“Performing the repair is only one part of running an RV service business,” she said. “Someone must answer the phone, understand what the customer needs, schedule the work, communicate expectations, manage estimates and invoices, collect payment and follow up afterward. Staying in communication with the customer from start to finish is essential to providing excellent service, and that commitment is one of the reasons True North RV Service has earned more than 200 five-star reviews.”
Connected Technology, Marketing & AI
Participants receive access to the RV Surge 360° Growth Operating System. It connects customer communication, scheduling, job tracking, inventory, estimates, invoices, payments, websites, social media, digital advertising, SEO and AI visibility, automated alerts, follow-up and reporting. The system also includes a free business domain and Harvey, RV Surge’s AI-powered chat and voice receptionist, RV Surge said.
Harvey can help answer common questions, respond to inquiries, support appointment booking, provide after-hours coverage, notify the business owner and escalate conversations when human attention is needed.
“RV Surge is much more than a collection of software tools,” Schmidt said. “A business owner can have the newest and most powerful software available, but if the business has no visibility, no marketing, and nobody knows it exists, those tools cannot create growth by themselves. The technology must connect with a real strategy for helping customers find, trust and contact the business.”
Community & Accountability
The program also addresses the isolation experienced by many solo RV business owners.
“The truth is that many mobile RV business owners are trying to do everything by themselves,” Schmidt said. “I believe we were made not only to live in community, but also to work in community. Accountability, encouragement and access to people who understand the journey are often missing. That is something we hope to change.”
A Lower-Cost Path Forward
Approved participants pay a one-time $500 setup and onboarding fee, which covers their RV Surge system setup, guided onboarding and the complete four-week Private Launch Lab program, the company said.
The regular monthly platform fee is waived completely for the first 30 days, regardless of whether a Qualifying Customer Payment is received. If no Qualifying Customer Payment is received, the monthly platform fee remains waived until the first qualifying payment or Day 90, whichever occurs first. Participants may save up to $1,191 in platform fees.
The pricing structure recognizes that RV service professionals may have already invested substantially in training, certifications, tools and insurance before generating consistent revenue. Surge Now, Pay Later is not a loan or financing product.
Support for Established RV Service Businesses
The beta is intended for early-stage mobile RV technicians and RV inspectors. Consistently profitable mobile service businesses and established local RV repair shops may not be the right fit for this particular program.
RV Surge also serves established RV businesses with software and agency support delivered by a team providing digital advertising, SEO and AI visibility, social media, websites and other marketing services, the company said.
Established providers and repair shops can schedule a brief 15-minute conversation with RV Surge to clarify and prioritize their next steps.
Applications are reviewed individually, and applying does not guarantee acceptance. Additional information and the application are available at SurgeNowPayLater.com.
