The RV Dealers Association of Canada will participate in the Skills Canada National Competition with a Try-A-Trade booth showcasing the RV Service Technician Trade as well as other career opportunities available at an RV Dealership.

The 2016 Skills Canada National Competition will be held in Moncton at the Moncton Coliseum from June 5 to 8.

Located at Booth 203, the RVDA of Canada, Atlantic RVDA and Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) Try-A-Trade booth will feature numerous trade stations. Participants of all ages will be able to try their hand at interactive, hands-on activities that one would find in the RV Service Technician Trade.  Some of the aspects of the trade covered will be:

· Carpentry: using an electric jigsaw and miter saw to cut out RV shapes to construct a key holder box.

· Construction: assembling all the cut-out pieces together with nail, glue and screws followed by decorating and painting the key holder box.

· Appliances (supplied by NTP-Stag Coast Canada): Baking cookies using RV convection ovens.

The 600-square-foot exhibit will also feature an RV on site. Attendees will be able to look inside the vehicle, and discuss with industry representatives, the skills required to maintain/repair an RV.

The Skills Canada National Competition features over 40 skilled trade competitions; as well as, over 40 Try-A-Trade and Technology activities including welding, hairdressing, cooking, carpentry, cabinet making, 2D-3D animation, and many more.

Skills Canada would like to invite everyone to join them June 5-8 at the Moncton Coliseum in Moncton, New Brunswick. Admission to the competition is free and open to the public.
