The RV Dealers Association of Canada opened applications for its bursary program, a plan to alleviate financial hardships technicians may experience while attending school.

Applications for the bursaries are due June 1. Click here for a link to the application.

There are a total of 23 bursaries available with 21 bursaries at $1000 and 2 bursaries at $2000.

With the grants and bursaries that are also available at the provincial / regional level, these would help offset additional costs associated with training. The bursary program is designed to encourage technicians to complete the necessary training in a timely manner.

This bursary is only available to technicians employed at an RVDA dealer member location.

According to the report, “very few” bursary applications have been received and the application deadline is June 1.

“Encourage your technician(s) to submit the completed application even if transcripts and official certificates aren’t issued until after the deadline. The application process is neither lengthy nor complicated,” the RVDA of Canada said in a news release.
