RVDA Chairman Hands Out Service Awards
The 2018 RVDA Chairman of the Board Tim Wegge of Burlington RV Superstore in Sturtevant, Wis., presented the RVDA Chairman’s Service Award to three dealers and an industry partner at the RVDA Annual Meeting during the 2018 RV Dealers Convention/Expo held in Las Vegas Nov. 5-9.
The award is presented annually by the outgoing chairman of the board to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions of time and effort to the association over an extended period. Honorees are chosen by the chairman.
Sean Raynor of Integrated Dealer Services (IDS) was the industry recipient of a Chairman’s Service Award for his efforts to improve Repair Event Cycle Time (RECT). Raynor and his team developed functioning dashboards for dealers and the industry that measure repair event cycle time.
The first dealer recipient was Mike Regan of Crestview RV, headquartered in Buda, Texas, “who has been an invaluable resource in getting the RECT project going,” said Wegge. Regan provided reams of Crestview’s repair data to help build the beta dashboards that will soon form the basis of RECT measurement for IDS dealers.
Randy Biles of Pikes Peak Traveland in Colorado Springs, Colo., was the second dealer recognized with a Chairman’s Service Award. Biles served as co-chair of the RVDA Industry Relations Committee with Debbie Brunoforte – working on updates to RVDA’s annual DSI survey and spending hours with staff and volunteers updating RVDA’s Model Dealer Agreement.
The final recipient was Darrel Friesen of All Seasons RV in Yuba City, Calif. Friesen has helped RVDA maintain its position as an advocate for dealers within the industry and before lawmakers and regulators. In addition, he has not only been a leader within RVDA but is an important force behind CalRVDA’s legislative accomplishments.
“Thanks Darrel, for your unwavering and constant support to RVDA and to me,” Wegge concluded.
The 2019 RV Dealers Convention/Expo is scheduled for Nov. 11-15 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
