RVDA Con/Expo Draws 1,600-Plus to Las Vegas
The 2023 RV Dealers Convention/Expo at Paris Las Vegas wrapped up on Nov. 10 with its final workshops on compliance from RV Dealers Association (RVDA)-endorsed provider KPA.
The event’s registered attendance was 1,645 dealers, exhibitors and industry partners – a 10% decrease from the 2022 event.
“The RVDA Convention/Expo Committee, chaired by Chris Andro of Hemlock Hill RV, put together an event that had something for all types and sizes of dealers,” said RVDA President Phil Ingrassia. “The Convention/Expo had terrific support from our industry partners and will help dealers prepare for what’s ahead in the coming year.”
During the U.S. association’s annual meeting, Ryan Horsey of Parkview RV Center in Smyrna, Delaware, was elected 2023-24 RVDA chairman of the board. RVDA presented its James B. Summers Award – the association’s highest honor – to Mike Regan of Crestview RV in Buda, Texas. In addition, two Titan awards were given to Sherman Goldenberg of RVBusiness and Dan Pearson of PleasureLand RV Center. Pearson’s daughter Whitney accepted the award on behalf of her late father.
Outgoing chairman Nathan Hart of Walnut Ridge RV Family Sales in New Castle, Indiana, presented the RVDA Chairman’s Service Award to four industry veterans. The awards are presented annually by the outgoing chairman of the board to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions of time and effort to the association over an extended period. Honorees are chosen by the chairman. The recipients were Chris Andro of Hemlock Hill RV Sales, Jeff Hirsch of Campers Inn, Ryan Horsey of Parkview RV Center and Bob Martin of THOR Industries.
In addition to exhibitor-led Vendor Training +Plus sessions, the event featured educational workshops covering key aspects of dealer operations, including F&I, digital marketing, fixed operations, sales and dealer/general management issues.
The 2024 RV Dealers Convention/Expo will be held Nov. 11-15, 2024, at Paris Las Vegas.
