RV dealers planning their week at the 2026 RV Dealers Convention/Expo will have another reason to stick around Friday morning, when longtime industry professional Bill Koster of Protective Asset Protection presents “I’m Really Good at Making Bad Decisions!”
The interactive education session is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 13, from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Burgundy room at Paris Las Vegas.
Koster will examine how people make decisions and why even experienced professionals can sometimes make irrational choices. While many everyday decisions are relatively unimportant, others, particularly those involving ethical considerations, can have significant consequences for dealerships, employees and customers.
During the session, attendees will explore how language, heuristics, framing, emotions and biases can influence decision-making. Koster will also provide tips to improve decision-making.
Koster will also take part in two Wednesday events during the convention/expo. He will join fellow leaders for the RV Leadership Prayer & Coffee on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 7 to 8 a.m. The event offers attendees an opportunity to gather for coffee and morning prayer before RVDA’s Annual Meeting and Breakfast.
Later Wednesday, Koster will join U.S. and Canadian dealer leaders in moderating the Leadership Roundtable, scheduled from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The interactive session will bring dealers together for peer-to-peer discussions on some of today’s most pressing dealership challenges, including managing inventory and expenses in a slower market, strengthening workplace culture and evaluating F&I profit participation programs.
Koster brings more than 40 years of experience in finance and insurance to the session. He serves as division sales director for Protective Asset Protection and is responsible for managing the company’s Southern Division of Specialty Products Sales. He also serves as an adjunct business professor and is involved with RV industry and educational boards.
