RVIA Announces Inaugural RV Safety Education Week in April

RVIA RV Safety Education Week

The RV Industry Association (RVIA) announced the inaugural RV Safety Education Week, which will take place nationwide from April 4 to April 10, 2027.

Moving forward, this annual campaign will be held every year during the first full week of April.

“While our fall educational efforts focus on aligning industry professionals, the spring campaign is timed specifically for consumers as they prepare for the prime buying and travel season,” RVIA said.

RV Safety Education Week will serve as the authoritative annual moment to elevate consumer awareness of industry standards. The campaign will educate current and prospective owners on vehicle safety features, pre-trip inspections and safe operating practices.

Over the coming months, the association’s PR Committee and Standards Steering Committee will roll out promotional toolkits, social media assets and co-branded materials for manufacturers, dealers and campgrounds to use in their spring marketing.

Industry members will be encouraged to run concurrent promotions, host lot-level educational events and amplify unified messaging across their owned channels.

By anchoring the event in early April, the campaign reaches buyers when travel excitement is peaking and RV shows are transitioning into spring deliveries.

This week, we also released two new resources to clearly communicate the meaning and value of the Association seal to industry stakeholders and prospective buyers alike.

  • High-impact video offers a compelling, approachable look at the collaborative dedication that goes into vehicle safety before an RV ever leaves the factory floor. It visually breaks down the more than 500 individual safety-related requirements covering electrical, plumbing, heating and fire and life safety systems.
  • “Significance of the RV Industry Association Seal” one-pager give sales teams, service desks and front-line staff a practical handout with an accessible explanation of why this small exterior badge represents a massive safety commitment.
