Prior to joining the RV Industry Association, Lyles spent two decades employed at various legal practices. “I was employed for over 25 years in law firms of all sizes — from small to medium to mega,” she said. “I’ve worked with all different personalities at different levels. I’m very adept at engaging with others and understanding team dynamics.”

In Lyles’ new role as executive assistant for Government Affairs and Legal, she is responsible for both teams’ administrative tasks, including tracking invoices, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, updating databases, managing documents and more.

“I love the fact that I’m balancing both Government Affairs and Legal,” said Lyles. “They often work together, so I have the best of both worlds. I’m excited about this role. It fuels me, and I look forward to seeing where it leads.”

Lyles added that her favorite part of her position is engaging with both the Government Affairs and Legal teams. “I love interacting with everyone during team meetings and the individual meetings I attend,” she noted. “Conversations are organic, and it’s a naturally collaborative environment. I feel blessed that I have the position. I feel like everything in the legal arena helped prepare me for my current role, and it’s very exciting.”

For Lyles, the RV industry represents an opportunity to learn about a sector that was previously unfamiliar. As a recent arrival to the RV world, Lyles has focused on applying her administrative skills to her new role and learning more about the RV industry. “This is new to me,” she said. “I’m looking forward to learning more about RVing, the association and everything we do for our members. I’m ready to dive in headfirst!”
