The committee planning the 2020 RV Industry Association Aftermarket Conference in August met recently and although it says it is keeping the dates in place — Aug. 10-13 — this year’s conference will be decidedly different than past conferences. The reason of course is COVID-19.
The planning committee says it is recalculating its budget for a “scaled-down” version of the event. RVIA staff has negotiated with the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina for a reduced number of hotel rooms to be set aside, and accordingly a smaller food and beverage budget.
The task force is planning on a combination “hybrid” physical/virtual conference. Details of exactly what that looks like will be forthcoming, it said. Though specifics have not yet been hammered out, the RVIA is welcoming anyone with questions to contact staff.
