RVIA: What’s Open and What’s Not

In advance of the Memorial Day weekend, the RV Industry Association has assembled a state-by-state chart of what is open and what is not. Currently, the RVIA says, states have allowed most RV manufacturing, dealer sales and service operations to open, however, in several states, RV parks and campgrounds have encountered more obstacles as they look to reopen.

To assist the RV industry with where campgrounds are open or closed, the RV Industry Association has created the following chart. Please note that many campgrounds and RV parks – even when opened – are required to follow stricter guidelines on social distancing, capacity and sanitation, and closure of common area amenities, such as playgrounds, pools, and bath houses.

The information in the charts will be changing frequently, the RVIA notes. Association staff will be updating the documents as new information is made available. “The chart is intended for informational purposes only and is not necessarily comprehensive. It is important to consult with your legal counsel on interpretation and applicability of the state’s governor’s orders and applicable state laws.”

The RVIA also says to call its Government Affairs department at 800-336-0154, ext. 320 or 386, with any questions, comments, or issues with the chart.
