The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) has hired Wenona Hays as its new administrative assistant.
“I have a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Bethel University in Mishawaka, Indiana,” Hays said. “My daughter was young, and I attended school at night. After I completed my degree, I then started working at a university in Michigan, where I was part of the team that developed and implemented the graduate level program for the degree, effectively increasing the degree enrollment by 50%. Looking for new challenges, I applied to the RV Technical Institute’s administrative assistant position, and I’m very happy to be here.”
She said her favorite part of her new role is speaking with callers who are curious about the RVTI’s training program: “I’ve enjoyed talking with them, learning about what they need, and helping them find the right solution to move along the RV technician career path. It is a fast way for me to learn about the training offered and how that impacts the industry.
Hays said the job is especially meaningful to her because she grew up camping, and even owned an RV.
“I really enjoy camping and getting out in nature. I think it’s a great way to relax and get away. It’s been great learning about how the RV industry helps support that so that everybody can keep getting out there,” she said.
