RVTI Fills Classroom for Level 3 Electrical Training
Last week, the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) hosted a Level 3 electrical specialty workshop as part of its ongoing workshop series.
The workshop covered all training topics needed for the attendees to complete their Level 3 Electrical Specialty. Indicative of the strong demand for this training, all 24 spots in the class were filled within three days of registration opening.
The RV Technical Institute, along with suppliers Furrion and Xantrex, conducted the training sessions which covered:
- RVTI: inverters, transfer switches, energy management systems, surge protection and generators
- Furrion Power Distribution: converters, inverter, transfer switch, batteries
- Xantrex: Inverters, solar and lithium battery systems
All 24 attendees were presented with their Level 3 certification and patches upon completion of the class.
“We were pleased to see such an enthusiastic response to this course,” says Curt Hemmeler, executive director of the RV Technical Institute. “We enjoyed training the techs alongside Furrion and Xantrex, and we’re excited to continue this Level 3 series throughout the year.”
This was just the first of five Level 3 workshops the institute is hosting throughout 2024. The workshops focus on the different specialty areas for RV technicians who are interested in further developing their knowledge of RV systems and components.
Specifically, Level 3 teaches students to perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on one or more of the following systems: electrical, chassis, slide-out, electronic and appliances.
After successfully completing the workshop, each participant will have accumulated enough hours to earn their Level 3 Specialty in that category. For those who attend all five, they will earn their Level 4 Master Certification.
