This Friday, the RV Women’s Alliance’s Coffee, Lunch, and Learn program will highlight Care Camps, an organization that has raised more than $16 million so kids can attend camp free of charge, with no additional cost to their already financially burdened families.
Care Camps Director of Development, Jennifer Mercer will be the RVWA’s guest. She’ll discuss how the program is funded, and the profound impact that it has on attendees and their families.
As the Care Camps literature noted, “We have a huge opportunity to change the life of a child with cancer by helping with ways to send them to camp. At camp, they don’t worry about cancer or feel alone. They are able to be kids again, with other kids, who are facing the same challenges.”
