RVWA Hosts Successful Annual Spring Campout

The RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA) held a successful second annual spring campout over the past weekend, hosting more than 100 attendees from various sectors of the RV industry.

The scenic gathering stripped away corporate hierarchies and allowed for meaningful connections and natural networking opportunities, creating a true sense of unity among the participants, RVWA said. Attendees participated in activities including morning nature hikes, community service projects, team building, creative projects, campfire chats and more.

Pamela Vandermel, Campout Task Force chair and RVWA board member, said, “The 2024 RVWA Annual Campout was such a transformative experience for our members, both personally and professionally. Through service opportunities, shared meals and late-night conversations under the stars, we connected with inspiring women (and men) from all walks of the industry. As the Campout Task Force chair, I want to recognize the collective effort of the professionals serving on the 2024 task force which resulted in a memorable and impactful event for our RVWA members. The RVWA Campout is more than just an event; it’s a catalyst for empowerment and growth. Each conversation opens new doors for collaboration and learning, showing us when we come together, our shared experiences and insights create a powerful synergy that uplifts everyone involved. At Lippert, we firmly believe and support the mission of RVWA, to Elevate, Educate and Promote, and are proud to be a second year sponsor of the RVWA Annual Campout. Together, we transform mere moments into memories that will echo through time.”

Denise Chariya, chair of the board for RVWA underscored the unique bond created at the event, “This campout truly captures the spirit of mutual respect, collaboration and connection that makes RVWA such a special organization.”

The campout was made possible due to the enormous generosity of its sponsors. Susan Carpenter, RVWA president, hailed Alliance RV and Lippert as primary sponsors. Other sponsors include Cummins, Winnebago and Lippert, who sponsored food trucks at the event. “The generous contributions of these sponsors have fueled the event’s success. Recognizing the ongoing value of this campout among attendees is what makes their support unsurpassed,” said Carpenter.

Representatives from the sponsor organizations also joined in on the excitement. Courtney Runyan from Alliance RV said, “Alliance RV proudly sponsors the RVWA campout because it is unlike any other event within the RV industry. It brings a diverse group of women together around a campfire and creates a middle ground. It’s fun to see everyone connect regardless of their company or position held within the company.”

Chelsea Kreigh, from Newmar, a subsidiary of Winnebago also echoed the overwhelming positivity of the campout. “The RV Women’s Alliance campout was more than just a weekend getaway; it was a celebration of sisterhood and empowerment. As we gathered, old friendships were reignited and new connections were formed, highlighting the importance of women coming together in the RV industry. Through shared experiences and support, we elevate, educate and promote each other, propelling the industry forward one connection at a time!”

As the sun set at the RVWA 2nd Annual Campout, the alliance reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to strive for genuine connections, elevate and educate each other, while fostering an environment that drives the RV industry forward. This weekend was a testimony to that spirit and the RVWA eagerly anticipates an even larger turnout next year.
