In a recent LinkedIn post, the RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA) announced it is seeking applicants interested in making a difference at RVWA and for all women in the RV industry for its board of directors.
According to RVWA’s website, “The RV Women’s Alliance is strategically driven by a board of directors comprised of individuals from every sector of the RV industry. The board is responsible for strategizing, planning, and helping to implement RVWA’s vision.”
RVWA is looking for the following skills:
- Leadership — proven competencies in being able to lead/participate in thoughtful discussion followed by plan implementation
- Collaboration — willingness to help build a board of diverse backgrounds to come together and create a better industry for everyone
- Strategic Thinking — experience in big picture planning and long term results
- Communication — strong communication skills to get your ideas across and evangelize RVWA across the industry to build partnerships/increase membership
Requirements Include:
- Sufficient time available to complete board duty requirements
- Willingness to assist with raising organizational support
- Work within committees to help obtain set goals
- Must attend 75% of monthly board meetings each year
- Knowledge of the organization and the relevant industry
- Top 3 written commitments to the board
