Sobel University Adds Management Breakout Session to April Training Course
Sobel University has added management break-out sessions to their upcoming Comprehensive Sales Training Course, scheduled for April 4 – 8, in Tacoma, Wash.
This change is being made as reports come in from around the country that highlight a significant shift in the RV market, according to university leadership.
“Major RV retailers are promoting huge inventories and guaranteed discounts in order to buy market share from other dealers,” according to Sobel University President Jered Sobel. “The skills used to sell RVs over the last 2 years, when inventory was limited, won’t hold up in the years ahead.”
The Comprehensive Sales Course is a market-adaptive training program for new and experienced salespeople, managers and dealers. The course is a “boot camp” style class with a challenging eight hours of classroom instruction, homework every night, and exams every day. Students are put into role-playing situations which helps to sharpen their skills. With multiple experience levels, and an ever-evolving curriculum, salespeople can expect to increase their efficiency (learn something new) whether it is their first attendance or their fifteenth.
“Because of what they are seeing in their local competitive markets, dealers are registering their managers for the April class and requesting curriculum that is normally reserved for advanced winter courses,” said Sobel. “They know that when nearby a competitor offers the same product with a $5 to $10,000 discount, managers will need to be prepared to help their salespeople maintain sales and gross profits.”
