Southwire Changes RV OEM Sales Model to Authorized Dealer Network

Southwire announced a strategic shift in its RV original equipment manufacturer (OEM) business model designed to enhance customer service, improve product availability and expand its reach across the RV industry.

Effective July 1, Southwire has transitioned the day-to-day sales of its complete RV product portfolio to a network of three authorized dealer partners:

  • Dave Carter & Associates
  • Ranger Distribution
  • Wesco

This change reflects Southwire’s continued commitment to delivering best-in-class service and operational efficiency to its OEM customers, the company said.

“We believe this new model positions us to better meet the evolving needs of the RV industry,” said Jeff Watts, director of OEM sales at Southwire. “By partnering with trusted authorized dealers, we can serve our customers more efficiently and effectively while ensuring consistent access to the inventory and support they rely on.”

Through this enhanced distribution approach, Southwire expects to:

  • Improve speed and responsiveness in order fulfillment
  • Strengthen localized service and support capabilities
  • Broaden its footprint across key RV industry channels
  • Ensure consistent inventory availability to meet customer demand

Southwire said it remains committed to supporting its OEM partners through this transition and ensuring a seamless experience as the new model takes effect.
