Spartan Motors Welcomes 75 Students to Facility

Spartan Motors recently celebrated Manufacturing Day this month by introducing more than 75 local high school students to career possibilities in manufacturing at the company’s headquarters in Charlotte, N.C.

Select students from Charlotte High School, Maple Valley High School, and Potterville High School had the opportunity to tour Spartan Motors’ manufacturing facilities, have lunch with Spartan employees from cross-functional departments, and participate in hands-on activities at the facility.

“At Spartan, we are committed to manufacturing excellence, and to bringing top talent to the industry,” said Daryl Adams, Spartan Motors president and CEO. “Our team passionately encourages the next generation of technical talent to learn more about career opportunities in manufacturing, from the office to the shop floor.”

Spartan Motors highlighted the benefits and career paths available to young adults in manufacturing. This is the company’s third consecutive year hosting students on its campus for Manufacturing Day.

Held on the first Friday of October, Manufacturing Day is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers.

“Hosting and engaging with students as they learned about career possibilities during Manufacturing Day was truly inspiring,” said Adams. “At Spartan, we are committed to understanding and planning for the road ahead. Bringing these young people into our organization demonstrates we are doing just that.”
