St. Louis-based Spartech, a manufacturer of engineered thermoplastics and custom packaging solutions, announces the availability of a L E Olefin (low emissions) Specialty Sheet, a material that provides an EVOH fuel cell vapor barrier for fuel tanks on RVs and other vehicles.
“With lawn and garden equipment and recreational vehicles of all types becoming more specialized by size and function, our new Low E Olefin Specialty Sheet offers many benefits to original equipment manufacturers in a variety of transportation markets,” said Matt Werden, senior manager, business development – transportation for Spartech. “Low E can really minimize costs associated with bringing a broader range of equipment to market. By twin sheet thermoforming the fuel tanks, businesses can afford to compete in new markets where demand is not as high for some of their product lines.”
Featuring vapor barriers which shield against oxygen and gases, Spartech’s recyclable and long-lasting Low E Olefin Specialty Sheet is durable in all weather, oil and solvent resistant, moldable, and highly flexible. It also meets OEM emission requirements.
According to Spartech, Olefin-based materials are known for their durability, chemical resistance, light weight and ease of processing. Spartech’s portfolio of polyolefins provides a variety of solutions from standard polyethylene offerings to specialty low emission material.
