Being an entrepreneur isn’t always easy and everyone does it a little differently. Some open online stores, while others open brick-and-mortar storefronts.
Some go all in and invest their lives into a new venture, while others start a new business as something to do on the side. Regardless of the type, entrepreneurs help drive the local economy.
B.K. Ison, owner of Horizon RV Center in Lake Park, Ga., hadn’t always been the owner of a small RV store in Lake Park.
After getting a degree in finance, Ison couldn’t find any work in his field, but he had a friend who was working at an RV dealership in Winter Garden, according to the Valdosta Daily Times.
There were Travel Country RV Centers in Lake Park, Augusta and Lake City, Fla. But Ison sold out to Camping World in 2012 with the promise of running the store in Lake City. But Ison was fired 30 days after he signed over the stores.
Since opening the new store, Ison made a promise to himself to “keep it small,” he said.
