Springfield Show Offers Winter Reprieve
The Springfield, Mo., Boat, Sport and RV Show promises to offer Midwesterners a reprieve from the weather this weekend at the 6th annual show at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
The public show runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday – when wind chill temperatures are expected to rise to around 12-below zero – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
“If you’re looking for a boat or an RV, this is a one-stop shop,” event organizer, Mike Roades told the News-Leader. “They’re going to walk in from the cold into springtime and summer. I put these shows together for the people of southwest Missouri so they don’t have to drive to Kansas City or St. Louis to see a boat and RV show.”
According to the report, the show will feature 50 to 60 boats, in addition to trailers, campers and scuba diving displays.
Admission is $8 per person, with children under 12 admitted at no cost. Dollar-off coupons and more information can be found at www.rvmegashows.com.
